McGaffic Advertising Services - Radio Ads

McGaffic Advertising has produced thousands of radio ads for its clients, which range from car dealerships to financial institutions to physicians. Let McGaffic Advertising produce your next radio ad.

We’ll handle jingle creation, script writing, hiring of talent, production, selection of stations and scheduling. If you need to get customers into your store today, McGaffic Advertising can help. Or if you need a maintenance program to build top-of-mind awareness for a longer period of time, we can do that too.

McGaffic Advertising can line up radio stations to help sponsor your events through ticket-giveaways and sponsor IDs. These are low cost, yet powerful ways to build top-of-mind awareness. In addition, we can help you sift through Arbitron ratings to select the best radio buy for your business.

Radio is a strong alternative to print advertising because of its captive audience. However, with radio, you have to summarize your business or product/service in a very short period of time. Stick with one idea. The first five seconds are critical. To engage listeners, be creative. Stretch their imagination by using music and sound effects. Repeat the name of your business or product numerous times throughout the ad. Concentrate on what your product or service can do for the customer. Identify what sets your product, brand or company apart from the rest. Consider the use of celebrity testimonials.

Radio is great for creating a sense of urgency for the listener to act, so end with your offer, along with contact information, such as a phone number, address or web site.

Frequency -- Repetition is the key to getting your message across via radio. With an average drive to work time of less than 30 minutes, try placing your spots “to the hour” in the morning, such as 6:50 a.m., 7:50 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. Do the same in the afternoon at 3:10 p.m., 4: 10 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.

Don’t base your decisions on what type of station you listen to. Instead, make your selection based on what your customers like to listen to, whether that’s Gospel, rock-n roll, country, news, sports, oldies, etc. Since most people listen to radio for the news, you can schedule your spots around news updates. McGaffic Advertising can help you select stations based on your primary and secondary target audiences.
